Hi there! I am Mie Lanslots, cheerful bon vivant with a passion for career coaching. I am 46 years old and live in beautiful Hoogstraten together with Peter, Vic, Fien and Merel.
My journey into the career world began with a curiosity about what drives people and how they can grow. I first worked as an HR Consultant for several years and chose to specialise even more in the coaching profession seven years ago.
I have since worked with all kinds of people, employees and self-employed, from start-ups to seasoned professionals. My approach is simple: we go on a journey of discovery together and take practical steps to achieve your career goals, without fuss. Together with you, I explore your talents, passions and goals. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow and evolve and I am your most loyal supporter in that process. Not just brave encouragement, also a loving pit-in-the-poop.
Besides my passion for coaching, I love theatre and music. It helps me maintain creativity in my work, think out-of-the-box and occasionally step out of my comfort zone.
What triggered me to join Popcorn? Besides being a huge popcorn fan myself (just give me the savoury version), I have worked with Recha before. A strong tandem, that's how we were called. But above all, we really had a lot of fun together. When Recha contacted me, of course I didn't hesitate for a second. Moreover, at Popcorn I found a nice team of like-minded professionals who support and challenge each other to get the best out of themselves. Then again, Popcorn's vision, its concrete and down-to-earth approach, fits perfectly with my own values and approach.
Why do you love doing your job as a career coach?
Career coaching, that's really my thing! Seeing my clients grow, achieve their career goals and walk out with a hefty dose of self-confidence. Fantastic after all.
You know, the great thing about this job is the diversity of people I get to work with. Everyone has their own unique background, interests and dreams, which makes my days super exciting and varied. Moreover, I always keep moving, because the HR world never stands still. I keep challenging and developing myself continuously, because of course I also want to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and trends.

Originality, that's really my thing! It is a value that fits me seamlessly. As a career coach, I believe that every person is unique, with his or her own set of skills, passions and dreams. Therefore, I love encouraging my clients to follow their own path and shape their careers in their own authentic way.
Originality to me means encouraging my clients to think outside the box, be creative in their approach to career goals and develop their own unique brand. It's all about discovering what sets them apart from others and how to turn those unique characteristics into opportunities.
It is so satisfying to see my clients creating their own original career paths and proudly making their own mark in the professional world. Originality in career coaching is not just a value to me; it is an inspiration and a motivation to help others find their own path to success, completely authentic and original.
